Studio Policies

Studio Policies

  • LHG is a professional school and does not function the same way as other local dance and performing arts schools. While it is not expected that students become or wish to become professionals, LHG's policies, dress code, classes, teachers and community will be treated with professionalism and respect.

LHG does not permit bullying, discrimination or negative talk about the school, its teachers, staff, fellow parents or students at any time. Inability to follow these rules will result in removal from the school.

  • LHG Teaches Professionalism. This means students are required to come properly prepared to each class (LHG provided uniform, hair done properly and on time). We understand mistakes happen. However, if a student is consistently unprepared or is late for class, the teacher may ask that student to sit out that day. Credits, make ups and refunds are not provided should a child be asked to sit out.

Uniform requirements for all classes can be found here!

  • Email is the main form of communication at our school. It is important emails sent by the school are read in a timely fashion, to ensure that parents and students are staying properly informed.

Parents must communicate clearly and in a timely fashion regarding any issues they or their student may be having.

  • LHG is a commitment based school. We do not offer refunds or credits for any reason. By registering with us, you are automatically agreeing to this policy.

  • Any child that attends our school must be fully potty trained and able to use the bathroom on their own. during class time our teachers are teaching and cannot help children use the bathroom.

All students should use the bathroom before class. We encourage students not to use the bathroom during class, unless it’s an emergency.

Classroom Etiquette

  • “If you’re early you’re on time - If you’re on time you’re late - If you’re late you’re forgotten”

Students are expected to show up early to class. This allows them time to physically and mentally prepare to work.

  • Students are expected to show up properly prepared for class each week. That means students must be in their LHG uniform, with proper hair and have a strong mind set.

What is the uniform for my child’s class?

  • Respect is our #1 rule at LHG, and every behavior or mishap falls under this rule. Anytime a student is having difficulty, we ask, “Are you being respectful?” This helps them self-analyze their behavior and make a better decision.

Respect your teacher by listening the first time.

Respect your classmates by being supportive and kind.

Respect yourself by focusing, doing your best and believing in yourself.

Respect your classroom by not picking at the floors barres etc.

Respect your body by listening to it and taking care of it.
